I am doing a version of my UX Spins talk on 1/9 at CodeMash, the top conference for software developers in the Midwest (which also happens to be at a waterpark in the middle of winter). I will also helping staff the Ohio IT Association sponsor table.
I am taking a break from volunteering this year, which means I will get to attend sessions. Here are some of the sessions about user experience, user interface design, and other topics that I hope to catch.
Thursday, January 9
- 8am: What Architecture (The Building Kind) Can Teach Us About Architecture (The Software Kind)
- 9:15am: Usability Starts With Accessibility (go Patrick!)
- 10:30am: Make More Money with Less Effort: Experimentation Before Implementation (go Scott!)
- 1pm: The Agile Designer: Aligning Dual-track UX and Development to Balance the Tactical and Strategic
- 4:45pm: My UX Spins talk!
Friday, January 10
- 11am: The Dark Side of UX
- 12:15pm: User Experience Pitfalls
- 2:45pm: Walking A Mile In Your Users’ Shoes
Of course, sometimes the best conversations at conferences happen in the hallways. For CodeMash, there are added distractions of a board game room, waterpark, kids activities, and lots more.
